SAN DIEGO DESIGN-BUILD SERVICES
For this $3B program, RIB U.S.COST provided Professional Estimating Services to the Airport Authority from the inception of the Airport Masterplan (AMP2) in the early 2000’s to the present construction of the $690M Terminal 2 West Expansion Program which is a 3-story, 10 gate expansion with a LEED Silver Certification from the United States Green Building Council.
SERVICES PROVIDED:
- Program Level Budget Estimates, scheduling, phasing and logistics support services during the preconstruction period to validate the various deliverables provided by the Design-Build Team
- In depth schedule analysis of resource requirements by activity for both landside and terminal contractors
- Met with each contractor team and each project management team where we developed schedule improvements based on the initial analysis
- Assisted airport group in reaching a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) with the CM at Risk, Independent Estimates for all scope remaining to be bid out
- Reconciliation with the CM at Risk on a line by line basis in order to reach a fair value
- Review and assessment of CM proposed contingencies and fees to assist the SDCRAA in reaching a GMP
